Poverty
87% of North Minneapolis youth live in households that qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Single Parent Homes
80% of North Minneapolis youth live in households with a single parent, grandparent, foster parent, or guardian.
Underperforming Schools
The Reading Proficiency rate for MN State overall is 52%. The Minneapolis Public School District is 47% and for black students in North Minneapolis Public Schools is 16%.
Hospitality House Approach
Education
Students in our Urban Learning Center program increased 28% to 285.
Reading and math scores improved 32% and 42%.
Athletics
Youth participated in our basketball and baseball teams grew 5% to 147.
Boy and girl teams have finished 1st and 2nd in the city league.
Jesus

Teens
Teen participation grew 10% to 137 including Bible Study groups.
Personal spiritual engagement increased from 30% to 60%.
Family & Community Outreach
322 volunteers participated in our youth, service and fundraising events.
Christmas With Dignity provided gifts for 395 inner-city families and their 1,207 children.
