URBAN LEARNING CENTER UNDERWAY
Our doors opened with excitement as we welcome back enthusiastic students to our after school Urban Learning Center for additional assistance in math and reading. With reduced numbers due to the pandemic we are at full capacity with 100 students! We are also happy to announce we have revised our Teen Program to include activities and programs for them to grow in their Christian faith and provide fun activities and events for them to explore their passions and skills. These activities include art classes, college visits, youth development workshops, along with Biblical studies. Hospitality House is very blessed to be thriving in this new school year.

ALUMNI 60th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Our Alumni Celebration to commemorate our 60-Year Anniversary was a success! It was celebrated with fellowship, reflection, music, and of course lots of food! Many alumni who had not seen one another in a long time picked up right where they left off. This truly is a testament to their strength of faith and friendships that were made during their time at Hospitality House. God is good and has blessed so many who have walked through the doors of Hospitality House! We would like to thank all who helped with the event including: The Alumni Committee, KMOJ, Gramsky’s Sandwiches, Minneapolis Police Department, staff and speakers Annette Bittner, Karen McKinney, Randy McKinney, Bobby Joe Champion, Michael “Biggs” Williams, Steve Sudduth, and musical performance by Destiny.
EMPLOYEE HIGHLIGHT
Annette Bittner joins Hospitality House as the new Teen Coordinator. Bittner joined Hospitality House on June 2 and is an alumna and the 1991 Young Women of the Year. She is a graduate of North High School and Bethel University and is married to her husband AJ. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:13 “You seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart, I will be found by you, declares the Lord.” Advice Annette would like to give the teens is, “Give God your best strength in your youth, don’t wait until you’re old, tired and have done everything wrong under the sun. He is worth your best now.” We are excited to have you join Hospitality House Annette! Welcome aboard!
